Living the Dream

This Sunday I will be speaking on the subject of not being deterred in pursuing one’s destiny in all areas of life. I wonder, why is that? Why would we not go after God’s plan and purpose for our life? It seems to me that most people want a good life. Most people want to contribute and have the opportunity to give and to receive. So what’s the big struggle? What is it that holds us back from being all that God has called us to be and doing all that God planned for us to accomplish?

Some thoughts on this subject will be shared this Sunday. I would love to read any ideas that you may have.

"So I declared on oath in my anger,
'They shall never enter my rest.' " And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. 4For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work." 5And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest."

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

This is huge! We are mandated by God to obey our elected officials and if we don’t we are rebelling against God Himself.
